Proprioception Bench
experimentNo. 0008categoryLabs & sensesrecordingpendingdataCC BY 4.0
A controlled joint-motion or load proxy is applied to the fly's chordotonal and campaniform afferents, and responses are measured in annotated proprioceptive and motor populations.

Recording pending publication. Follow along for the release.
Setup
- A bench with a movable arm proxy.
- Channels: chordotonal organ (joint motion) and campaniform sensilla (load).
- Side both, left or right; amplitude 0–1.2; cameras Arena, Fly, Plan, Stimulus.
Measurement
- Engineered normalized drive to anatomical proprioceptors, selected by annotation class and subclass.
- Paired stimulus and disconnected branches with the same seed; downstream motor responses recorded in 100 ms bins.
Limitations
- No calibrated joint tuning; no position tuning is assumed.
- No physical force-to-current transduction model.
