Heading, goal-to-steering and reinforcement populations in the fly's connectome are pulsed directly inside a ring of twelve posts, and recovery after each pulse measures transient persistence.

Recording pending publication. Follow along for the release.
Setup
- An arena ringed by twelve posts.
- Channels: EPG heading, PFL3 goal-to-steering, PAM01 dopamine (reward), PPL101 dopamine (punishment) and the DM1 fruit-odor channel.
- Side both, left or right; amplitude 0–1.2; cameras Arena, Fly, Plan, Stimulus.
Measurement
- Direct population pulses with paired disconnected branches under the same seed; 10 baseline and 10 recovery steps of 20 ms bracket the stimulus.
- Recovery measures transient persistence of activity after the input ends.
Limitations
- No calibrated compass decoder or goal representation; anatomical left/right is not a heading angle.
- Dopamine-labelled stimulation has no plasticity effect in this fixed-weight engine; no learning is claimed.
